Grandma And Her Young Assistant
Next month I see my granny. I anticipate seeing her, though she has become a little stubborn in her old age. I will not embarrass her by sharing her age, but let us just say she’s a woman with exhaustively seasoned wisdom.
The last time I saw her I brought my portable Yamaha keyboard so I could play her some music. She relished it, but regrettably because she’s not completely there, she kept disrupting me to inquire of me how to clean her computer. Yes, she really uses a computer. And maybe she was disrupting me because I’m simply that weak at the keyboard.
I constantly discover something enigmatic at her home when I visit. Last time, I discovered many books on penny stocks on her cocktail table. My grandma learning how to buy penny stocks online? That is bizarre. I wonder what I’ll find on her cocktail table this week.
This year will make for an active visit. I have to put in her different Emtek door knobs and air conditioner filters then fix her garden cart. I additionally have to take her old pots and pans to charity as she just bought a new collection of pots and pans to supplant them. As a reward, she claims to also have bought the best ice cream maker and the greatest of all the electic coffee makers. I’m thankful, but I also have to laugh softly as she invariably claims to have or use only the very best of this or that.
If everything goes well, she will use both to dish me some sweet java at dawn and ice cream in the evening. This sounds like more than pay back enough for my assistance. I’m happy to assist her for nothing, but a little robust java and creamy ice cream does not bother me.
