LPN Schools-The Pros And Cons Of The Programs Offered

There can be a lot more advantages in taking online LPN programs in online LPN schools rather than take campus-based nursing courses. Price is a primary issue in the US and most nursing students need to get a job to be able to pay for schooling. Those who want to study LPN courses can then adjust their schedules according to those lessons offered online. They can save time from having to travel the distance from work going to school then to their homes by just simply logging online in the comforts of their home after work.

The disadvantage of online programs, however, lies in the lack of personal interaction between the teacher and student. Any immediate questions that may arise in the course of studying would have to wait for up to 24 hours before a student can get answer from his or her instructor. One other disadvantage would be power outages where some online sites do not offer refunds for classes you might miss.

After graduating from these courses, you could be qualified as a licensed practical nurse or licensed vocational nurse.  Both jobs take orders from a registered nurse or from a physician and in serving patients go about their own daily routines. What can set an LVN apart from an LPN would be the number of contact hours required for the course continuing education which differs depending on the state they are located.
