Going to hawaii.how soon should i book?

swt4life03 asked:

I am going on a trip to Oahu Hawaii in October. I was wondering how far in advance i should book the trip. Also is it better to stay in a hotel or rent a vacation condo or house.

The earlier the better! It matters on what you like. If you want to eat every meal outside, then go with a regular hotel. But if you like to cook get a room with a kitchen inside. =] I personally like the rooms with kitchens because its takes lots of stress off.

oahu, stay in Waikiki that way you wont see what the real Hawaii looks like. lots of poverty and homelessness outside of wiakiki,,,,,,drug use too

The earlier you book the better. There are great package deals to Oahu all the time. Try spincitytravel.com and click the air + hotel + car feature. I got a hotel on the beach with car and airfare for around $800 total for two people.

Condos are great too if you like to cook some of your own meals and don’t like the sound of neighbors upstairs and next door to your room.

I’ve had success in the past when I book about 3 months in advance. But when you are about 6 months away, I would start keeping an eye on deals.

As for accomodations, depending on your budget, I would perfer a house or condo, but a nice hotel minumum of a 4 star would suffice.

Good Luck, have fun and ALOHA!

OMG! You have to go to hulagirlstravel.com, they have all kinds of cool deals and info on vacationing in Hawaii. I have booked through them twice and have been totally happy with them! It depends on how much $$$ you want to spend, but I was looking at going in April and I saw that they have this package going where you can choose from which vacation rental to stay in, it comes with a personal chef, massages in your room, a personal activities guide, and more! Needless to say that’s the package I am going with! LOL! I would definitely go with the vacation rental if it is in your budget. Also, I always find the sooner the better in booking your trip. Have Fun!!! :)

Booking the air fares in advance is the best> Because there are fare layers. The first to book get the cheapest fares. The nest is a little more expensive. Ten layers later you are paying way too much, like four time more than the early-on bookings.

Your best bet is to book ASAP. As far as where to stay, I like the quiet beauty of the island so I far prefer the vacation rental. Like mentioned before, much more peaceful, but just a short drive to the excited Waikiki part of the island. Much cheaper $$$ to get a Vacation rental as well. Glad to provide any more info you may need.
