Go with the vacation rental as opposed to the hotel. You will save a lot of money that way. Vacation rentals go for about $1500-$2000 per week no matter how many people you have, where as you will be looking at $300 or so per night per room in a hotel. Plus vacation rentals have kitchens, living rooms, etc and are a much more comfortable environment for families to just hang out and enjoy!
As far as airfare, its going to be expensive no matter which way you cut it because only one of the major Hawaiian Island airlines is till in business (Hawaiian Airlines, Aloha went bankrupt) so ticket prices are through the roof. Try Travelocity.com or any of those other cheap ticket sights instead of the airline website directly. That’s what i always do and end up saving a little.

Cheapest airport from your area is typically Neward or JFK. It’s best to buy a wholesale package of Air, Car, Condo.

The most resonable accommodations are condos because you pay per condo unit, not per person like Hotels.

The more you book together the better wholesale price you receive on each portion (Discounted Airfare, Car, and Condo).

It is also important to talk to someone who has been to the condos. Not all condos are equal. The major online companies sell the privately owned condos (some have not been remodeled in a very long time).

In most cases in Hawaii you have a condo complex, some are privately owned and some are rented through a management company. If going through a wholesaler, they sell through a Management Company. That way they can inspect all of their rooms quarterly to ensure they are up to certain standards.

For cheap tickets i’d recommend to go to
or any other travel website, sight up for their 20 top deals and they’ll e-mail you the list every week or so – they have an amazing deals for Hawaii some times! One of my friend got deal for $250 round trip
    from Hawaii to New York.
Condo in Hawaii – we rented two times, it was not bad, you can get the cheap one about $100/night or even less, sleep up to four. You can also find all you need on internet. I did – worked out great -
condo, car rental, even helicopter tours or diving trips.
